Some of our editions involve costs that are locked in at the time of booking — such as internal flights and exclusive experience tickets. This page explains how payments and cancellations work for these editions, and what to expect at every stage.
Why this edition has a non refundable clause?
On most editions, your deposit is a standard percentage of the total cost. On high-commitment editions, certain costs — like internal flights or ticketed experiences — are purchased and locked in as soon as you book. These cannot be recovered if you cancel, regardless of how far out the edition start date is. To reflect this, your deposit payment on these editions is structured to cover exactly those locked-in costs, so we're not out of pocket and you know upfront what you're committing to.
Important: Your spot is only confirmed once the full edition fee (100%) has been received. Until then, the seat remains open to other travellers.
How your payments are structured Payments on high-commitment editions follow three stages.
1 Deposit — at booking - Covers all non-refundable components
This amount covers the costs that are locked in at the time of booking — internal flights, exclusive experience tickets, and a standard onboarding fee. The exact amount is shown on your edition's booking page and is specific to that edition. This amount is non-refundable in all scenarios. Your spot is confirmed on receipt of this payment.
2 Second Payment — T-50 (50 days before the edition) Brings your total payments to 50% of the edition cost
At this stage you pay the difference between your deposit and 50% of the total edition price. If your advance already exceeds 50% of the cost, no payment is due at T-50.
3 Final payment — T-40 (40 days before the edition) Remaining 50% of the edition cost
The outstanding balance is due 40 days before the edition starts. Entry to the edition is not confirmed without full payment by this date. Auto-cancel applies if this payment is not received by T-40.
If you need to cancel from your end.
Cancellation charges depend on when you cancel relative to the edition start date. Please note: the non-refundable component within your deposit is forfeited in all cases, including early cancellations.
These cancellation zones below are applicable only to the remaining amount paid.
| When you cancel | What happens |
|---|---|
| Before T-60 | A ₹7,000 admin fee is deducted. The difference is credited to your Experience Co. wallet for use on a future booking. |
| Refund eligibility: A cash refund (instead of wallet credit) is only applicable if your total booking amount exceeds ₹50,000 excluding taxes. | |
| If your booking is below this threshold, the balance is issued as wallet credit only. | |
| T-60 to T-40 | 50% of the total amount paid is credited to your wallet. No cash refunds are issued. The non-refundable advance component is excluded from this calculation. |
| After T-40 | No refund or wallet credit is issued. The full amount paid is forfeited. |
Wallet credits are valid for future bookings and can be transferred to a friend or family member. They cannot be exchanged for cash and have a validity of 12 months.
